Has anyone else had lumps develop in there stomach where they inject ? I've had one develop on the left hand side of my belly button about the size of a ten pence piece it is also very painful . ?

Is it hot and red as well as painful? I occasionally get abscesses in random places.

You can get lumps if you aren't careful about rotating your injection sites - it's basically scar tissue build-up. Absorption of insulin from these areas won't be good. I didn't think these lumps were usually painful though.

How long have you been jabbing Darren ?

And DO you rotate religiously?

If you haven't been at it all that long, it's more likely to be using the wrong length of needle or something like that (eg allergy to that type of insulin, allergy to the lubricant used on that make of needle are another couple of possibilities) than a Lipo, I would have thought?

Been injecting 2 1/2 years now and I do rotate stomach and legs last couple of days been stabing the butt cheeks lol

Do you have contact details for a DSN Darren? Might be worth getting it checked by someone who knows. Could be scar tissue/lipo, but a DSN would be able to advise on injection technique/needle length etc 🙂
