A new one on me and another one I wasn’t warned about at the retinopathy clinic I’ve written before about talking to shop mannequins, signposts and shelving thinking they’re people. It’s very easy to mistake what you think you’re seeing with only central vision in one eye. This morning I was up early, still dark, I’m blind in the dark - all the rods in my peripheral vision were lasered and destroyed to try and preserve some central vision when battling proliferative retinopathy.
I put the bathroom light on and went to spray some deodorant - I can’t see colours apart from dark, white and red. I’d been polishing yesterday and left the can out- oh yes indeed ! you know what’s coming 😱I sprayed beeswax polish on myself- I smell delightful and I’m sure I’ll buff up really nicely with a soft, dry cloth.

I do try to laugh at my blunders with limited sight but sometimes they are exasperatingly ridiculous . I’m certain there’s many more out there waiting for me to discover! 🙂
