Hello,

I hope you lovely people can you help on this - I promise I won't complain even if I don't like to eat it.

At the moment I am eating the following low carb snacks, not necessarily 100g but just trying to show they are low carb snacks, anything over 5g for me is not low!

Walnuts, 3.7g per 100g
Lidl Wensleydale Cheese, less than 1g per 100g
Boiled egg, 1.1g per egg
Lidl 95% Dark chocolate, 1.6g per square.
Sorry crackers dont count, even those that have 3.5g carbs per cracker as I can eat about 10 without realising!

What do eat and approx how much is it in carbs?

I am looking at ready-made stuff rather than freshly made, also just to be difficult I need something with substance not lettuce/celery etc.

Also no cheating, so no meat or fish - which is not a snack for me.

Thank you.

If you don't have the "nuts" category fully covered already, then almonds. Anyway, they're my main snack.

Yes I did eat almonds but will have put down amount for 30g as they are 9.6g per 100g, cheers

Mini Babybels, hardly any carbs each, but they are really quite mild to my palate.
Yes they are nice and I have them too

Olives or pickled gherkins.
(Not going to mention pork crackling or salami sticks for yourself but any other members who do eat pork products)
Brazil nuts and hazelnuts are also pretty low carb.
Creamy Greek natural yoghurt with some mixed seeds and/or chopped nuts..... I find foods with crunchy or chewy texture more satisfying.
Sugar Free Jelly.
Veggie sticks.... raw mushrooms, peppers, cucumber, (celery) a bit of carrot etc with a sour cream and chive dip.
I also really like cooked broccoli with the sour cream and chive dip as a warm snack (takes just a couple of minutes in the microwave) or as a veg accompaniment to meals.

As regards cheeses, personally I like a cheese with lots of flavour like a blue stilton..... but we already discussed all the wonderful cheeses in your other post.

Ok great

Brazil and hazel nuts is a good idea, but my question how much yogurt can eat before I hit my 5g limit.

I like the idea of the dips, not sure about the veggie option a bit healthy for me

Yes that is a good choice, you have good taste.

Cheese is one of the few low carbs food that can fill you up.The Wensleydale I am referring to has about 0.1g, that is unbeatable I think.

Now you are making me jealous!

I like it with cranberries but that bumps up the carbs.

I am sure I have had that in the past, but will check it out now.

Pickled onions?

I have just remembered I think I once had a blueberry one too!
Now that's diifferent and didn't know, something to tried out, I bet that taste nice!

but my question how much yogurt can eat before I hit my 5g limit.
In what context? As a snack alongside another or just as it's own? Then that would depend on the brand of yoghurt and would involve weighing xx

I think just as a snack on its own, say full fat Greek yogurt

Well then it still depends on brand so would involve some research, @rebrascora may be able to provide the nutrition for Lidl's one (sorry my lovely!) but others just go on a supermarket website and check the info out, just looking at Tesco and their Finest one is 3.8g carbs per 100g, Fage is 3g per 100g, it really is specific to brand as I know of some that are over 5g carbs per 100g xx
