Perhaps this should go in the books section, but I suspect that many people will not scroll down as far as that so I'm posting it here

Can you suggest an easy/simple/beginners book on a low carb/weight loss Mediterranean diet please?
I've looked on Amazon and there are several and it's a bit confusing, despite the reviews; plus it's not clear if they are suitable for the UK so I'd rather have recommendations from this Forum

Thanks

I must confess I'm not quite sure what distinguishes Mediterranean low carb from a normal low carb.
However any of the Caldesi books, Keto Kitchen, Pinch of Nom all have good recipes.
There is the section on different dietary approaches on the main DUK site.

The Caldesi books are pretty close to med diet and low carb - olive oil, vegetables, fish, fruit, eggs, and lentils. For me the best thing is that the recipes are sustainable and I enjoy making them and eating them, which is probably why I’ve kept the weight off and blood sugar at good levels for two years.

Like @harbottle I think that when you go low carb you might be pretty much adopting a Mediterranean Diet, or at least a sizeable chunk of it. I've been on a low carb diet for almost 5 years but neither my wife nor I have referenced any recipe books, just picked up ideas online, from newspaper and magazine articles and especially from this forum. I seem to have settled on something that's sustainable, although I still tweak it occasionally. I have the same meals as the rest of the family, so we don't have to cook something different for me, but with some substitutions, eg mashed cauliflower or mashed celeriac instead of potatoes, riced cauliflower instead of rice, and non-grain pasta.

I'd just go with a standard Med diet cookbook and when a recipe uses pasta, make it edamame or some other kind of non-grain low-carb pasta. Maybe a bit more expensive.
