I did 8 units and I had a egg sarny and a toblerone cookie, my bm was 4.4 and now its 3.3 20 mins later!

Hi Aimee.

First of all, is your mum aware of your hypo in case you need help ?

From a few threads about hypos and reading books, the best thing to treat hypos is either hypostop gel or full sugar coke or lucozade. About 150mls of coke is 15g glucose which is normally enough to treat a hypo.

The egg and the chocolate will delay the sugar getting through your system to your bloodstream. You may find you go high later. 😉🙂

Oh dear! That's a very quick drop, was it a long time after you had previously eaten and injected? With me the fast acting insulin is still in my system for up to 5 hours, so it's possible that your levels were still falling before the egg sarny had time to digest! Hope you feel better soon and don't go high now 🙂
