so Been on insulin now 1 year and still my numbers are not coming down as soon as I put anything in my mouth my numbers shoot up I am eating very low carb and still no joy I am nowgetting very depressed with it all (I am seeing adiabetic specialist nurse next week) I really needhelp

You should have had help long ago - were you never asked to report on your results?
For most type twos eating low carb has a powerful effect on blood glucose levels, even without insulin or other medication - for it not to be working should have raised flags.
I'd suggest that you need further tests and a reassessment of your diagnosis.

How very low are your carbs?

I am able to keep my BG between 4.0 and 5.0 by keeping my carbs very low - about 10-20g a day with no medication.

Really sorry to hear how difficult a time you are having :(

What insulin(s) are you on @Lisaa - like @Drummer says it may be your treatment needs a significant review with a more complete insulin replacement regimen.

Make sure the HCPs you see know you are significantly reducing carb intake and still seeing wide glucose variation.

I am on Novo rapid and levimer 28 units novo 3 times a day and 30 units of levimer at night 1 slice of Brad per day and a little milk for my coffee rest is meat and vegetables ‍♀️

I have sprouts cabbage cauliflower and lots of water to drink

Well I don’t know enough about T2 insulin to comment with any clarity, but it looks like your basal (Levemir) just isn’t doing enough, because despite eating very low carb your NovoRapid doses are still not keeping meal rises in check, when there are few carbs to cause the rise.

Have you experimented to see what happens if you skip a meal and don’t inject the NovoRapid?

Have you also tried including say 15-20g of carbs at a meal to see if that effects the outcome?

I’m just wondering if your liver might be getting twitchy and dumping glucose because there are few carbs on offer?? This is a complete guess mind, with no basis other than that diabetes is sometimes completely counter-intuitive.
