Hey, looking to connect with anyone who is in their 20s or 30s with Type 2? Say hello if that is you.

Hi sean_marsh, welcome to the forum.

I fit into that category (only just!) and know how challenging it can be to have to manage life so differently from your friends.

Was there anything in particular you wanted support with? Many members were diagnosed in their 20s and 30s so may be able to assist in that sense.

We've got loads of info on the forum and main website so do have a look around and let us know if we can help in any way.

Was diagnosed at 21, 14 years ago now

Hello I fit into the category. 28 and diagnosed with type 2 in October 2021. I'm not doing well with it though so not sure if I would be much help to you!

Hi I am diagnosed with type 2 for a year now but I am not taking any medications. My BM’s are rollercoaster. When I follow LCHF diet it was well controlled but again it goes up and down. Very stressful sometimes

Thank you 🙂 Just literally looking for others around my age 🙂

Lauren, hey! Very similar. 27, diagnosed in Nov 2021. Equally not doing well. Was just looking for others in a similar boat.

Hi, I am 25 and was diagnosed type 2 in April 2019. Honestly still trying to come to terms with everything myself. But happy to talk if you ever need to.

Are any of you on Instagram and post about your journeys with T2?

Historically the #doc / #gbdoc (diabetes online community) on platforms like Instagram and Twitter seem to have been quite skewed towards T1 and LADA, with relatively few T2 diabetes posters.

Bob ‘fractis’ being a notable presence https://twitter.com/fractis

I‘ve still got accounts with everydayupsanddowns (or a shortened version on Twitter) but I’m far less active on there than I once was.
