Looking for confirmation (scam)

Unlikely....there was a thread a few weeks ago about people using DUKs name on advertising

I will leave it someone from admin to give a definite answer but I very much doubt it. There is a lot of unauthorised use of DUK logos on stuff advertised on social media ( see the thread at the top of this board) so best treated accordingly. If you check out the web address you will find Leaneluxes is based in Hong Kong - don't let the Union Flags mislead you into thinking it is a UK company. Almost certainly a scam.

Well with that being flagged.
Anyone got a recommendations, I really have problems sticking to a diet, looking for tips. I haven't a lot of time to my self, as a truck driver i start very early 5am work 11 - 13 hours a day, I'm exhausted over the weekends, when I do sleep I have to use ear plugs the wife rattles the windows....
11 month's ago I lost 20kg now put 10 back on.
I have absolutely no motivation, my brain just shuts down I tried CBT but fought every step.
You can't blackmail me with I'll look/feel better because I couldn't care less....
Think I need to be locked in a cage ?????

My husband used to keep me awake until he was diagnosed with sleep apnoea and given a CPAP machine to stop the snoring. It might be a good idea to get that checked for your wife as it can put strain on the heart to breathe properly.
I don't look on my way of eating as a diet - and weightloss was effortless as I wasn't even trying. I simply avoid carbs but eat anything else, just about.
I settled on two meals a day, morning and evening as then I don't need to worry about finding food when out of the house. I would usually eat before leaving or take an insulated bowl of breakfast with me. I find that having a good nutritious breakfast makes the rest of the day a lot easier to cope with, no matter what it is.

Sorry to hear about your struggles @Truckster :(

It does sound like you find yourself in very difficult position

To answer your initial question - I would be certain that this is one of a number of scam adverts using the Diabetes UK and NHS logos (and others) completely fraudulently and without permission

Diabetes UK products are available via the Diabetes UK Shop

Unfortunately the number of scams currently in circulation mean that everyone really has to be on their guard. Who knows what might be in these products. :(

My apologies I didn't mention i am coeliac and very recently dairy free which is absolutely killing me, I used to eat 1/2 lb a week......
All GF foods are loaded with extra fats and sugar to make them palatable....
My guts HATE ME !!!!!!

@Truckster You could look at some of the Diabetes U.K. recipes. You can search by GF and Dairy Free, like I’ve done here for you:

You could also concentrate on naturally GF foods. Many of the low carb recipes are also GF, but you’ll need to watch out for added dairy. You can just substitute plant-based dairy substitutes if needed.

I am gluten-free, although I am fine with dairy - so far.

I am fortunate to have a very supportive partner who is the main cook in our household. I do breakfast and maybe a very light lunch, but he does all the main meals.

When diagnosed T2, I adopted a reduced carb diet - reduced, not zero, and at that time I found I just gave up bread anyway. When I was forced to go GF, I thought it'd be a cinch, because I wasn't eating many grains at all, but of course, gluten lurks in unexpected places.

One of the simplest ways we have found to avoid gluten is to minimise processed foods. Fortunately, ready meals were never big in our meal plans anyway.

So, to your challenges.

Have you tried batch cooking at the weekends, or asking your wife to do some for you? The beauty of many things that are batch cooked is they can go into the freezer for "another day", and over a brief period, you can build up a bit of a bank of food.

In your shoes, I'd look at building my meals around protein, so things like chicken drummers/thighs, high meat content sausages, eggs, and so on. I find protein fills me up and with fattier cuts of meat, like chicken thigh (as opposed to breast) there is some fat in there, which can help take in come calories to keep you going. Cooked bacon can be delicious and good cold as well as hot. Pork ribs, stews/casseroles in flasks can work well too.

Things like the chicken pieces can be cooked, cooled, then individually wrapped in foil before popping into the freezer. Once defrosted, they can even become finger food, because you can fold them by the foil covering. On the move I'm a big fan of chicken, as you can probably tell!

Do you have a fridge or freezer in your truck, if you are on the road all week? That might take a bit of figuring out and trial and error.

My steer would be to try a few things, but not to expect a perfect solution day one. These things tend to develop over time.
