Hi my name is Jacqui and new to the group I am type 2 and my bm is currently sitting at 25.3 I'm usually high but never this high should I contact a gp thanks
Have you rechecked just in case you had something on your fingers, make sure you have washed your hands.Nothing sugary I will check again in couple of hours and if its still high I will contact 111 thanks
It isn't sugary things you need to watch only, it is all high carb foodstuffs - bread, potatoes, pastry, pies, fruit other than berries, veggies that grow under the ground, chocolate, sweets, peas, sweetcorn, crisps, rice, pasta, breakfast cereals etc - they are all high carb and carbs turn to glucose/sugar and could increase your BG. We all have to check these things and their effect, then either reduce portion if they cause a spike, or find an alternative. Do check out The Learning Zone (link at top of page) for more advice on what to check or avoid - you need to reduce carbs (slowly) in order to get your BG down to a a much lower level. I am guessing you have not received much info or advice, but you will find it here from those who know 🙂Nothing sugary I will check again in couple of hours and if its still high I will contact 111 thanks
