Not been on in a while but thought I'd update abit anyway I was having really high bg levels but my hba1c was 7.5 well turns out my meter verio pro was faulty I was never below 10 but now it's looking good diabetic nurse gave me a freestyle lite meter & checked readings against my verio & it was 5.3 out now getting readings under 10 anyone had this problem?

Glad to hear it turned out to be a mechanical issue! I've had the occasional duff reading, but not consistently - I have about 5 meters though, so would probably just test on another one if I was suspicious of the readings. Hope the good numbers continue! 🙂

i've got a verio pro, only had it a couple of months and first time i tested it with the control solution it read outside of the limits.

i repeated the check and second time it read within the limits but im at my dads tomrrow and he's got an accucheck so i test myself using both meters and see what that says.

dont think it will show much difference though because my recent hb1ac bears out the readings i've been getting :S

checked with my dads and my verio pro read lower than my dad accucheck. did it twice and both times got about 7.2 (thats good for me) against 9.4!
