Feeling very sad these last couple of days as heard that a Mum I know through the ODC (and not in 'real life' at all) D son has just been diagnosed with a stomach tumour:(:(:(

Poor lad is a year younger than my K but has had D most of his life.

Makes you want to wrap your whole family up in a blanket and stay there.

many cancers these days are treatable, I hope this is one of them and the lad makes a full recovery.

The message on FaceBook today is that he has started chemotherapy but that it is resistant to insulin:confused: Not sure what is meant by that but it is good that he is getting treatment.

His Mum is a member of the 'Parents of Type 1 children ' group on FaceBook which I know a few members of this forum also visit. I have not mentioned names as it is a private group but anyone who is a member there can find out more details through that group.
