Are still on sale!!!!!

In Spain.

I bought some just a couple of weeks ago. They were so good. If they can sell them there, why not here? It's not fair!

And I also bought a couple of (different) low GI rolls yesterday.

I'm gonna boycott Lidls until they bring back protein rolls. They will suffer when my £20 weekly goes in Aldis till.
Muahahahahahahahaha.

As far as I can work out the low GI ones are just a 'hope they fall for this one' ploy - as they contain a lot of carbs and - slow or fast - they are still carbs.

Works for me.
Low GI means the carbs are released more slowly, so a lower insulin response can still keep up.
High GI means the carbs release outweighs the insulin response, hence the possibility of a spike.

And they taste a lot better to be honest.

Doesn't work like that for me - I obviously digest carbs very efficiently, so there is no slow release. I think that one roll is about 40 gm of carbs - my whole day's 'allowance' - though I suppose I would slice it up into tiny sandwiches and spread them out through the day very carefully.
