Just a quick couple of questions: Does anyone use this app? Is it any good? I don't have a smartphone, but I'm thinking about getting one. My worry is that this app won't be reliable and I'll end up having to cart around a big phone AND the Libre reader. 🙂

Big? BIG?????

Pete's first mob was in a shoulder bag which needed a wide strap, and I couldn't lift it with one hand !

I remember them lol.

Smartphones are HUGE! 😱 My little Nokia is tiny in comparison.😉

LOL - look if you don't actually need a new phone - what is the App supposed to do for you that the reader can't? This is an innocent question, because I don't have clue.

I thought, from what I recall being said when it was introduced, that it was sposed to be just so that folk with smart phones didn't have to carry the reader, rather than offering anything extra. I also STR there was something about parents being able to know what their kids BGs were doing when tthey went together, or have I got that confused with a traditional CGMS?

I suppose, maybe such a phone would be smaller than having to carry the reader and your existing phone and I also spose - you'd have to weigh that up against a) what it costs in £££ and b) what you define as a loss in terms of size of the thing! LOL

There are some extras apparently - the app has the additional feature of being a glucose log too, like MySugr or Glooko. 😛 Does ANYONE use it?!! (bump, bump)

Every Libre sensor, that I used with the app, failed. Now I only use the reader, from the starter kit. Have no problems with it at all. It is a really great piece of kit, but rather expesive.

Though I do have a smartphone, I prefer to carry the reader out with me. It's small and lightweight. Another reason is , my mobile is seldom switched on when I'm at home.

Thanks, Spiritfree and Ljc. 🙂 My tiny little old-fash mobile is safe for the time being.😛
