I went through loads of airport and cruise terminal security scanners on holiday recently, and the sensor didn't set any of them off, and continued working, Ditto, the reader, which went through about 10 X-ray machines by the end of the hol.Has anyone any idea about how the Libre sensor and reader cope with going through metal detectors and X-rays? Sudden panic as I need to get through security on Wednesday and have not checked about this.
Oh yes, I remember that, libraries use a different system apparently. And I'm sure I've read somewhere that ski lifts can be a problem.( the electronic barrier to get in, I mean, not the actual lift) which concerns me slightly as we are going on a walking hol in the Alps later on this summer, and might be using them. I think the answer to that was to raise your arms out of the way as you go through, or keep as far to the middle as you can, but I think Abbot will replace a sensor if it comes to grief. On that other thread, I seem to remember the only security-type scanner problem was getting into libraries - didn't a couple of Libre-wearers get their sensors fried?😱
Let us know how you get on, SB.🙂

I think this has cropped up on another thread, and someone else ( one of the regulars) said he thought his sensor had set off the alarm, and he had a pat down. But then, I triggered the Heathrow scanner on the way out, but it was my legs that they seemed Interested in after I'd been stood in the full body scanner. They patted them down, looked puzzled, and sent me on my way.
!!!!!! ( expletive deleted)PS A DSN suggested I take out the sensor for that day!!
De-e-er! Who are these people?!!🙄Thanks to all for the info.
