Libre Sensors not working - strange error message

Yes I had that one and I followed the instructions and applied a new sensor. I then discovered by accident that the sensor still worked fine with my phone. ‍♀️

Interestingly my Libre 2+ sensor died a day and a half early this morning. I use my reader and it just said the sensor has ended and to replace it. I was pretty sure it was warning me yesterday that I had 2 days left (I find it hard to remember what day is changeover now that they last 15 days) and I had to go back through my daily graphs to find the gap where the warm up period was in order to confirm it had actually expired early. I checked right round it and it was secure all the way around as I have found that is the commonest reason for early failure but it is still very secure.
After reading this thread I scanned it with my phone and it has given me the same message you have posted above. This is the first time I have seen this message before and to be fair I get VERY few failures with Libre.
On a positive note I should get a replacement which will mean I become 14 days in credit with my Libre supply, however it was a little disconcerting to wake up in this situation as my previous reading from it was 2.9 during the night. Thankfully my finger prick gave a nice 6.0

It's a nice simple report, with no need to collect finger prick tests or anything.
They’ve made the reporting sensor form so much quicker and easier recently too

I tried the online report form last time and it didn't work for me. They sent emails following my submission which I responded to giving all the info they asked for again in the email but still didn't get anywhere with them, so I am going back to a good old fashioned phone call on Monday. Apparently the browser I use is unsupported or incompatible or something like that!

In the last 20 weeks, 14 Libre2 sensors were used. 4 were faulty, one with error 365 which is what is being reported here and all were promptly replaced.

Two points I would like to make:
1) the sensors never lasted more than 14 days and
2) of the 14 sensors, 3 were libre2 sensors and did not fail, the other 11 were Libre2 Plus of which four failed.

The error margins on most of the 11 of the Plus sensors were probably beyond Abbott’s standards. The glucose levels are measured first each morning using a finger prick device. The timing comparing with the libre is critical for accuracy and early morning seems a good time as my glucose level can be stable, certainly within a 10 minute period. And looking back on these results, the accuracy could have been better. I also wonder why the error 373 Glucose Readings Paused appears so often.

The failure rate of a brand new product needs investigating, quickly. I depend on these things. They are tending to read low which can jeopardise any plan for exercise.

I believe this is usually when levels are changing fast.

Libre has always read lower than a finger prick for me so I tend to factor that in, but the sensor before last was only 0.1mmols lower than a finger prick in the last 10 mins of the 15th day, so I can't really complain at that. I do generally apply the sensors the night before I activate them and I tend to get pretty comparable results with finger pricks from the start doing that. Certainly within 1mmol most of the time. I have had a couple of Libre 2+ which have died a day or 2 early though and I have only been using them for a few months, so perhaps 15 days is stretching things a bit too far for them. I think I only had one Libre 2 that died before the 14 days in a couple of years of use.

Does the reader not keep track of “events” (can’t remember what Libre actually calls them) like new sensor in its log?
My CGM and pump app certainly has this information in its log which I sometimes refer to.

I’ve just looked through my reader event log, and it seems to log '57' when you start a new sensor, but the only way I could work it out was spotting them amongst all the various error codes, and realising they were all 15 days apart.

Great detective work @Robin. It certainly helps managing this D malarkey.
