Yes, just short acting.
I'm starting a Mediterranean diet. Hard work though as i think my body is desperate for chocolate lol.

Ha ha yes we all need some chocolate. Sure a treat here and there will be no problem. Mediterranean diet sounds lovely, you must enjoy cooking. The easier the better for me when it comes to food.

My husband & i use the time cooking to reconnect. Life is so stressful atm, cooking eases that stress. Well it did until the crazy sugars started happening.
Tbf, Mediterranean diet requires little cooking. I'm not extravagant. Its a basic type diet as we still learning.
What type of food do you eat?

Cooking stresses me out trying to get everything ready at the same time. I eat many different things, like pesto pasta, chicken and rice, spag bol, jacket potato with cheese, salmon with cous cous etc....Its all easy food but all carbs...love them.

@KS76 - here is the info about basal testing that I've been using for years.

It was written by Type 1 diabetics and intended for Type 1 diabetics - or anyone else whose own pancreas does NOT produce endogenous insulin. If you still do produce insulin I have absolutely no way of gauging whether it would be reliable or not - the authors were not medically trained - one an insurance broker and the other a journalist! One was a DAFNE graduate and the other had done a d a f n e course based on BERTIE.

Thats interesting, will have to give it a go. I just know by not taking quick acting with my basal injection first thing before I'm out of bed my sugars are going to spike.
Will give it a try though....thanks.

Well start the ruddy test at some other part of the 24 hrs and instead of doing eg 0.00 to 6.00 then 6.00 to 12,00 - do weird timing blocks. They absolutely do not have to be 6 hours either, they might only be 2 hours or be as many as 10 or 12. Might take you over a week to capture all 24 hrs. No rush!!

Just keep chipping away at it @Sugarcoated and @KS76

It’s a marathon, not a sprint - and you cant expect perfection. Libre traces aren’t a measure of how hard you are trying, or who you are as a person, but they can give you information that can help you make changes and decide what to do next.

This is information about ’time in range’ and what to aim for

Don’t stress if your numbers don’t meet those targets, but just see what you can do to try to move gradually towards more stable traces.
