Libre lasting longer

Evening all
just posting this out of curiosity. My Libre according to the official App finished 2 hours ago. Shugga however is still receiving readings? I am going to leave it on and see just how long it really lasts. Anyone willing to guess……
 
Yes I think the sensor will keep running for 12 hours after it has officially ended, don’t know why!
 
Not a guess but just a fact. 12 hours.
 
Yep, I too noticed I could get an extra 12 hours our of my Libre when I used an unofficial app (xDrip).
It gives the impression it goes on for longer but then I realised it was just repeating the last 8 hours. I have no idea how long it can keep that up.

12hours was pretty close. Its just given up.

I find it really convenient when changing sensors, I can apply and start the new one and continue reading the old one during the warm up. I don't think I'd be comfortable relying on it for the whole 12 hours (and anyway that would mean I'd be changing sensors at weird times of the day if I did that).
