Libre 2 plus

Hi all , I have found my last couple of Libre2 plus to be extremely accurate until about halfway through the 15th day when the accuracy tends to drop off slightly. It's as if they are slowly dying.
Anyone else had this issue?

Hello, though I’ve been prescribed the Libre 2 plus for the past month. I’ve been issued the standard previous generation? Having said that my app suggests the “Libre 2” has 15 days? (Not a typo.) but oddly with the last 2 sensors, I can get 14.5 days out of it before the Libre times out. Just thought I’d mention it.

I’ve just started my first Libre 2+, I'll keep an eye out on Monday, which will be the 15th day, and see what happens!

@Martin62 , Do you still use Juggluco? Not sure if this has any bearing on your situation too. But I discovered an update last night. Juggluco 9.1.2 version was released a few days back? (For Android.)

There was an update a while ago adding support for Libre 2+.
That’s the one I did a couple of months back. (I think it was mentioned on another topic?) But for the last couple of days I kept getting nagged on the Lock Screen panels, regarding an update. (I don’t do auto updates.) when I checked on play (as well as a few other apps that needed doing.) Juggluco had one dated “feb the 18th.”

Oh yes. Doesn't say this one's related to Libre 2+. It just talks about 9.1.0 and 9.1.1 being terribly slow in displaying old data (which is now fixed).

I have had the Libre 2+ on prescription since June last year and have found them a bit erratic to say the least - my last one lasted less then 2 days with chronic signal loss (a replacement is on it's way) and I have had several others that give stupidly low readings (when compared with finger prick) with a couple of days to go (not hours!) before expiry - one said I was 2.9 when a finger prick said 8.3 for example

Interesting. I didn’t have that issue. At first I thought the update was for wear OS? As I noticed the update alerts more on my watch.

I was meant to change around a month back? (It’s on my prescription. Along with cutting my test strips.) Just picked up an order today & they are still giving me the plain 2s. Which I’m not worried about.

this is my second Libre2 plus both very accurate but the second one kept kept loosing signal to begin with then seamed ok but ive ended up having to report it as its started loosing signal again

Not sure about the plus. But my Libres can loose it with the signal or scan as the arrow verticals? When it slopes (or flat.) it’s OK.

how odd, mine just drops off
Mine just loses signal too - I can usually tell within the first 12 hours if it's good or not - I leave it 36 hours and then give up and ask for a replacement (they always do, with no hesitation, so must be a fairly common problem)

I have a theory on the drop outs too? Over crowded with BT or WiFi frequencies? Neighbours or other gadgets in your own home. I fixed my WiFi drop out by changing channel after I found out my neighbour had got a new system. The drop outs coincided at one end of my house. From what I’ve read BT isn’t far off the same bandwidth?

I am on my last Libre 2 plus now and will swap to Dexcom when this runs out. I sit with it next to me on table less than a metre away and constantly lose signal despite phone on compatible list. I sometimes have to scan numerous times until it reconnects again. Also like you i have very low readings which are a long way out from what my meter reads. Now reading 5.4 and meter is 8.0 (i havent eaten for couple hours). I just don't feel i can trust it. On occasions i have readings of 4.0 when in fact 8.0. Dexcom however was extremely accurate for me (after calibration) which is a relief as i like to use a CGM rather than finger pricks. Maybe Libre suits some and Dexcom others.

haven't had an issue with couple of prior libre 2 plus sensors (usually 0.5 either side of blood glucose reading. since new sensor yesterday its crazy different 13.4 VS 5.4 directly downward arrow. 1st two direct comparssion 16 mins ago. third image blank space is when sensor was changed needing to wait an hour last image where the nurse attached it to my arm. in the space of time taken me to attach images, its now showing 2.6 when test is 13.9 :F abbots has said likely sensor issue or location issue (not enough fat) they are sending me a new one should get 48-72 hours. Pharmacy have said they've had a few complaints with last months supplies. perhaps issue with batch?

Wow thats some difference. Maybe it will settle down a bit after a while i know they say meter will be around 10 mins different than the Libre but can't think it would be dropping 8mmols in that time. Hopefully you will get replacement that will be like the first 2 you had and pretty accurate. I have used 5 now so given it a fair trial and never get anywhere near accurate so think its time to call it a day with Libre its just not suiting my body it seems.
