Even without the rest it's a cheap CGM with a small sensor (and no transmitter). That seems sellable on its own. But yes, they'd be daft not to also be thinking ahead to closed loop systems, and I imagine calibration is part of that.
As a self-funder the transmitter is a significant annual cost factor for me.
Of course the 3 must have some sort of transmitting/receiving technology, otherwise it wouldn‘t be able to get the sensor data from one element of the system to the other... but it’s exciting to see that no clip-in / rechargeable / expensive / short shelf life additional element is needed as part of Libre3
