It happens to me the exactly same then it fails. Ask them to replace it with a different model like a libre 3 or 3 plus. If your having as many issues as meI have replaced my Libra 2plus and it is not receiving signal. Error message saying glucose reading paused.
I have heard it is due to the new iPhone update. I have replaced 2 today and still not working!!!
Are you contacting the Abbott helpline before replacing them as they should be able to talk you through possible solutions rather than just removing one and starting another. You do need to report the failures to the helpline or via the online reporting form so that they will send replacements and you need to retain the removed sensors that didn't work in case they need them back for assessment/quality control purposes. The NHS should not replace any faulty sensors because they are paying for a set number for you for the year and if any faiul, you need to report them to Abbott to get replacements. The helpline number is printed on the outside of the box.I have replaced my Libra 2plus and it is not receiving signal. Error message saying glucose reading paused.

@Dan262627 do you know whether it possible for Abbott to replace a Libre 2+ sensor for a Libre 3? Even as a trial? I was just wondering as I have the same signal issues as @elained and I mentioned it to me DSN yesterday who said it is likely down to my blood sugar running high, this may be partially true but I have quite a few issues with the signal with my Libre 2+ sensor. If I could trial the Libre 3 sensor, just to see if there is a difference, then that would be fab!It happens to me the exactly same then it fails. You could try and ask. Worth ago. Just explain to them that libre 2 plus don’t work. I ain’t sure they offer that on trial but again it’s worth trying as my last 2 reliable ones was libre 3. It’s changing to the 3 plus soon so maybe try and ask to see if they would allow you to try a diff sensor ? I have emailed support about all these issues and I’m going to see if they will supply me a 3 plus to try and I will update if they will let me and it shouldn’t mess up as I tried it with stable levels and it still messed up so it’s not levels for me. I’m using dexcom one+ as a trial and it’s working perfectly so it’s clearly a dodgy batch@Dan262627 do you know whether it possible for Abbott to replace a Libre 2+ sensor for a Libre 3? My understanding is the Libre 3 is not available oto purchase in the UK and requires additional approval to have it on prescription as it is more expensive than the Libre 2+.@Dan262627 do you know whether it possible for Abbott to replace a Libre 2+ sensor for a Libre 3? Yes that makes sense, thank you @helli 🙂My understanding is the Libre 3 is not available oto purchase in the UK and requires additional approval to have it on prescription as it is more expensive than the Libre 2+.
Even if Abbott would send a Libre 3 as a replacement, it would not guarantee you could have it on prescription moving forward.

i had a reply. The 3 plus is only available to try on the nhs so it’s worth asking your doctors gp to change it. I updated mine last night 18.6 praying that it worked, tried to scan nothing. I uninstalled and reinstalled app, and working fine nowI have replaced my Libra 2plus and it is not receiving signal. Error message saying glucose reading paused.

Is that the libre 2 plus ? That works well with it. I just notice I need to update I’m going to have to try itI updated mine last night 18.6 praying that it worked, tried to scan nothing. I uninstalled and reinstalled app, and working fine now
Yes I’ve put it off for months, after hearing on here problems people having after updating. Hope it works for youIs that the libre 2 plus ? That works well with it. I just notice I need to update I’m going to have to try it
I’m going to try the 3 plus and see how that goes. I have heard some good things about it being better. If it carries on being bad the sensors I’m either switching to g7 dexcom (15day one) or dexcom one+ as I liked the start up time on the dexcom one+ and it’s pretty much spot on and been on for days now and only 0.3 out of bloods. This is what it should be like with sensors and libre should allow us to calibrate the sensors to make them better just like dexcom does. Since last year I notice the sensors haven’t been as good, before I used to trust all the lows and had like 2\3 fail each yearHello @elained, @Dan262627, @Teapot99,
I had Libre for over 12 months with over 50% failure rates BEFORE the revised NICE Guidance improved the prescribing options. Now, it is in the gift of a GP to change a patient from Libre to Dexcom sensors, within the lower cost range of NHS funded CGM. Today that means Libre 2+ can be replaced by Dexcom One+ (or vice versa). This assumes the GP is the person writing the script. NICE formally recognised that some patients are not compatible with certain medications and CGM sensors are a form of medication. I benefitted from this revised Guidance. My body was not compatible with Libre.
Most GPs are busy, with lengthy waiting times for appointments. All GP Surgeries in England, Wales and N Ireland have a dedicated prescribing Pharmacist associated with each Surgery or Medical Centre. This Pharmacist may be in the same building, may be a contractor to that Surgery or from an independent Organisation. But each will answer as if employees of the Surgery and have the authority to arrange admin changes such as Libre to Dexcom, that authority on behalf of the GP Surgery.
CGM provided by Hospitals needs a Consultant to change the lower cost scripts and upgrading from Libre 2+ to 3 or 3+, or Dexcom One+ to G6 or G7 may require a further review and justification by a Consultant or prescribing DSN, to satisfy Hospital Trust funding requirements. You, the Patient may be oblivious to the bureaucracy that might be needed; the Consultant or DSN know the mechanism. My Hospital change from the former Dex One to G7 took a month and the 1st I knew was when emails from DPD arrived saying Dexcom were providing G7 and delivery would be the next day.
You can buy them in the uk just not from Abbott. Libre 3+ is about £75-85 each from online pharmaciesAs I understand matters, Abbott are not selling Libre 3 or 3+ in UK, except to the NHS. Are you UK based @Dan262627?
NB: I'm extremely content with my G7 accuracy and reliability.
