Hi all,

I started on Levemir on Monday night. Levels are better overall so its working, but I have been started to feel quite queasy each day, and it is getting worse. It's like I have been on a ferry all day.

It's not listed as a side effect in the leaflet included in the box or online. Anyone else had this when swapping or new to it ?

Thanks,

Phoebe

Nope - never EVER heard of it all the time I was on it and also on at least two forums (was 3 for a time) throughout the 10+ years I personally used it.

Get to the doctor asap madam!

Will contact the diabetes nurse in the morning, she’s great. My GP I’ve only spoken too once and I do like her but I think the nurse will be better.
It’s keeps coming and going and like a weird tummy like butterflies or trapped wind. But I’m not windy.

I get that feeling. I sometimes associate it with my levels dropping, but I hadn't linked it to my Levemir.
It is just mild though for me and if I am busy I don't notice it but I often feel it when I am out walking.

I've not heard of Levemir causing issues like you describe; I'm fine with it.

Er - I've just had this thought - heart palpitations feel like something fluttering in your innards. I got them just fairly often before I was diagnosed. Just had to stop and wait for it to go.

Hope your queasiness subsides soon @PhoebeC

Yesterday I felt really quite unwell and went to bed at 4pm, it was more of a snooze than sleep but I was in bed until 5.30pm. Had a headahe, and stomach pains too. Feel better than yesterday but still not right.
Waiting for the nurse to get back to me.
