I know that I will regret posting this and the wheels will probably fall off but:

Last 7 days - 51 tests average 6.4 sd 2.2 (84% in range 4% hypo)
14 days - 115 tests 6.5 2.5
30 days - 258 tests 6.6 2.7

Thanks Amanda, it's taken a lot of analysis and trial and error to get here.....just need to maintain it now! .........you will get there too!

Double wow from me. I dream of averages that good. How many hypos does that cost you?

Unbelievably, not many at all! 🙂 I have worked hard on Basals and bolusing 15 mins before eating has really helped.

Terrific numbers Phil, long may it continue! 🙂

Thanks Alan, my sd is 2.1 now for last 7 days. This forum has helped... I have certainly picked up some tips and refined my D management.......also helps when I don't have cannula problems! 🙄 .....also makes me wonder if my highs due to cannula troubles would be hypos if my cannulas were working properly! :(

great numbers hope it carrys on

.......me and my big mouth!... 17.9 at 5am!

ROFLMAO - that'll teach you to tempt providence!

Still - the only important thing really is - do you know WHY ?

.....my hypers are nearly always down to a cannula problem, really frustrating when everything else is going so well....oh well, minor blip, stats still look really good and I am now back in range.

Oh dear phil was it to early to start bragging lolol

Well done mate, keep it up!

Top work Phil 🙂

Long may it continue!

Great results mate, the sd is one thing thats never really explained to us at clinics, what level should the sd ideally be below, according to my software its between 2-3 on average but unsure if this is good or below par.

My understanding is that lower is better. I think John Walsh suggests that an SD of one third of your average BG is good control. And of course the lower your average the better (up to a point!).

SD shares unit values with the average and shows the range +/-, so an average BG of 6, with an SD of 2 would mean that most of your readings were between 4 and 8.

My current SD is 1.5, with the following 30 day results:

190 total tests, 6.3 tests per day

Above target (>7.8) = 10.5% 20 tests
Within target (4.0-7.8) = 82.6% 157 tests
Below target (3.5-3.9) = 3.7% 7 tests
Hypo (<3.5) = 3.2% 6 tests

Highest BG 11.5, lowest 2.6, average 6.03

😱 🙂

p.s. don't ask me how I do it, I know for a fact I don't need to try anywhere near as hard as some people!

Thanks for that Mike....I've never had the SD explained to me before but kind of worked out if I hit the 2s I'm generally happy.
