Latest HbA and Chol. results

Very quick post before I disappear.

Went to see DN at the surgery to get my results.

Latest HbA1c is 6.2% (44mmol/l)

Cholesterol has dropped from 5.4 to 3.4

Breakdown is:
LDL = 1.48
HDL = 1.58
Total:HDL ratio = 2.15

BP was 130/80

So I'm quite pleased that I may ssee the weekend out at least

I think the cholesterol is a result of cutting down sat fats as much as the statins but I'm staying on them for now to see if it drops further, then I can see what happens without them. They're not doing any apparent harm at the moment.🙂

That's an extraordinary drop in Chol (and good splits too) - I would imagine the statins had a role to play there?

The statins must have come into play but I've cut down out a fair bit of saturated fats so it's 6 and half dozen I think.

Going to see the proper DSN at the hospital in a couple of weeks or so where I may well be mentioning pumping policy. But I'll see how crazy it is with you first Mike 😉

Thanks. Almost managed to adjust for winter settings now. BGs were climbing but I think we've about arrested it.🙂
