Ladies gents Whats in your handbag/man bag?

Probably safer than carrying a raw egg!
But doesn't have the same effect on politicians. Apologies to admin for going off piste but I couldn't resist it. (Hangs head in shame )

Ok, so I do carry a "man bag" normally when walking the dogs which contains

Poo bags, lots of poo bags for dogs
Water for dogs
6 balls for dogs
2 spare leads for any stray dogs
Treats for dogs
Water bowl for dogs
Squeaky toy for dogs
Whistle for dogs
If it looks like rain, 2 coats for dogs

Well, that was exciting and pretty well sums up my life  which is all about dogs

So many things, although I have perfected the art of getting them to fit into a fairly tiny rucksack!:

-A makeup bag with spare insulin, sensor, pen, screw-on needles, batteries, cannula, reservoir and hypo treatment
-BG Kit plus spare test strips
-Inhaler
-Paracetamol
-Usually a pack of maoam sweets (I prefer these to jelly babies as they are still individually wrapped once the pack is opened, so when they inevitably fall to the bottom of my bag they are still useable and not covered in dust!)
-Hair ties, lipbalm
-Pens (to write with)
-A lightweight hat and a pair of fingerless gloves because I hate being cold! I may take these out now it's warmer though.
-Contrastingly, sunscreen!
-My work lanyard
-Bank card
-Small purse containing loose change
-Keys when I remember to add them to my bag!!

I can also just about shove a bottle of water and a 198mm book in this bag when needed!

I am surprised how many people carry pens and paper.
Long ago, I realised how easy it is for me to loose anything written down. And let's not talk about how many pens I have lost. So, I use my phone to either write a note or take a photo. Most of the photos on my phone are exciting pictures of ingredients lists, receipts, car park signs (so I can remember where I parked my car) and even photos of things people write down for me to remember.

Maybe an alternative thread could be "what do you use your phone for?"
I am sure there will be a huge variation between some of us who live their lives through their phone and those, like my parents, who turn their phone on to make a call and then turn it off again when the call finishes.

I use my camera to take photos of events posters, receipts and various sundry information for later retrieval. Occasionally I take photos of friends and family and nice scenery or wildlife too.
My Dad used to be like your parents. Phone on to make a call then phone off. Took me a long time to persuade him to leave it on when was out and away from his landlines. Could be a generational thing. He was born before WW2
.

I'd be worried about it breaking and filling my bag with eggy stench - I once had to dump my favourite handbag after a mayonnaise sachet leaked.
Hmm, I hadn't thought about that.. however, I am now.
