Kumquat

Oh that brings back memories. My grandfather had a kumquat tree, when I was a kid. I remember them as pleasant but quite tart. You can eat the skins. I imagine they're a pretty good thing to eat, nutritionally, but not something I'd want to eat a whole lot of in one go, as I remember them.

Apparently there are about 1.8g carbs in the form of sugar per kumquat so you wouldn't want to eat too many of them if you are Type2 and managing your carbohydrate intake.

Thanks im type 2 and heard they lower you blood as my hb1ac has crept up to 68

If you hear or see a claim that something you eat will lower your blood glucose then treat that claim with caution. Insulin will do it, some medications will do it but not something like a Kumquat.

Eating a kumquat rather than half a pound of grapes might well result in a lower blood glucose rise, but that's because you are not eating the grapes not because you are eating the kumquat.

They're pretty high in fibre & my guess is that's the reason they might be seen as "good for diabetics". From what I've seen, fibre *may* help to lower BG, but it's very variable and the effect is probably fairly marginal in most cases. Compared to other strategies - losing weight, exercise, dealing with carbs - no single food is going to be very effective, probably.
