Hi, Type 2 over 2- years - I have been on a keto diet for three months now and only lost 2kgs, my carbo intake average is 15 to 20g and a calorie value of 850 to 1100 per day. My question is,as I a in ketosis, readings 1.2 to 1.6, my BGs rise as my body eats itself so to keep my bgs in check i inject insulin 28 units, surely this puts the bgs back as fat. Is that the reason why I am not loosing weight?

Welcome @Ulidian1 🙂 It sounds like you’ve been working hard to lose weight, so it must be disappointing not to lose more than 2kg over 3 months.

A few questions: what insulin do you take (ie its exact name)? How high is your blood sugar? Have you had your thyroid checked?

2kg is still decent result, slow & steady wins the race remember, another 6 months you will have lost a stone.
