I am fine with taking my morning Metformin with my breakfast but I keep forgetting to take my tablet with my evening meal. My rising bg is round about 11, so I am confident if I could remember to take my evening tablet regularly I could get it down to the 8 my doc wants to see.

Hi. If you normally have your evening meal at the same time, how about setting an alarm , perhaps on your phone, iPad etc to remind you.

When you take your morning one, is there anywhere you could put your evening dose, that you'd be bound to see it when you were preparing or eating your evening meal? I have a similar problem remembering my long acting insulin, now I've decided lunchtime is the best time for it, so after breakfast, I put it on the dining table ready for lunch, so I can't miss it.

Could you set an alarm to remind yourself? Or leave tablets near where you eat your evening meal? You've already got your morning dose into your daily routine, so good luck in sorting your evening routine.

I use a tablet organizer which covers 7 days and has a compartment for morning and one for evening. Just leave in prominent place (like dining room), I keep mine in my bedside drawer so I don't forget the morning ones.
P.S. if it's the evening Metformin then the timing isn't all that critical.

I use my alarm on my mobile phone to help me as I did forget to take my insulin last Thursday, I have seen tablet organizer within the chemist at my Morrisons and there only £1.50 could be an idea

I take my PM Levemir at 20:30 but found I was constantly forgetting then steadily rising throughout the night. I set an alarm on my phone for every day at 20:30 and so far it's worked a treat!

You can also get those pill organisers from pound shops if you find them helpful

Oh BLAST - I meant to ask if they had one when I was at the Pharmacy yesterday and forgot.

I'm OK remembering them usually, except now there's one that I only take every OTHER day - and I never know whether that's today LOL - esp bearing in mind they have to be taken first thing (Levothyroxine tabs) before my brain is fully functional LOL (I take 100mg one day and 125 the next etc)
