what a shock went for a little walk got back and nearly fainted bg is at 4.4 !!
keep wanting to stick pns in myself to check..lol..😛 hope i am going
in the right direction been T2 for years struggling on a low fat diet etc
and all the while it was carbs...xx

Oh no! Do you take any medication for your diabetes @Olive?

4.4 is still within the normal blood glucose range, but if your body is used to running a bit higher it can panic at those levels. Might be worth taking some dextrose tablets with you and having one or two to stop the trembly feelings another time? You don’t want to eat much though - just enough to get you up into the 5s or 6s should be enough. then your ‘glucose thermostat’ will reset to the usual range.
 
I take Metformin 2 am 2 after tea thanks for the tip will take some
with me when I go walking, hasn't happened again woke at 6.3
so pleased Im going in the right direction xx

Tell me about it, I thought I knew it all about diets Low cal Low cal for years and always felt hungry, now low carb don't feel hungry am eating great food and have had to reduce the Met due to lots of very low readings in the 3's.
