Hi grandma It's lovely to hear you had a good day out
I had a similar experience last summer when I had my 2 grandchildren live with me for a few weeks. Social services asked me to take the 2 girls into my care while things were trying to be sorted out with the dad( he had a residential care order, he is father to the youngest and stepdad to the oldest), they were taken way from my female family member, but no violence on her part. It was so heartbreaking for us all, but the older child coped very well and the other girl was only just short of her 3rd birthday.
I found I was having a lot of hypos, because I was running about more and doing lots more active things ( especially in the evening). It's not something that I like to think of, the children still see their *** every 2 weeks. What the future holds for them, I really don't know, as I am not in contact with SS any more. You sound as though you are doing really well and the boys, will, I'm sure, learn to trust again and not to be afraid. With best wishes to you all. Sheena
