Hi all. Have just been to see the DSN, she asked me to keep a diary of all that i eat for the last 5 days. Because the doctor has taken me off Metformin SR and I was concerned that my BG was starting to go up. But when she saw my food diary and my BG sheet for the last week she was quiet pleased with my results and said there was no need to worry about my levels, so I have to go for a blood test again in 5 weeks time and see how things are then. She is also going to get me on a T2ONIC course here in Nottingham and see if this helps although she was happy with the food list that I gave her.

Sounds very positive 🙂 I hope you find the course beneficial, let us know how things go 🙂

I certainly will just don't know when it will be yet. I mentioned to her that I came on this forum regularly and she said good we always recomend all our patients to go on this forum🙂 . Back soon must go and have my homemade leek and potato soup:D

Sooooo malturn, is that a musical instrument or a weapon you are fondling there? I expect there's a clue in your name - am I correct, are you a wood turner?

Bang on Jenny have been woodturning for about 17 years but have just recently sold up most of my equipment due to lack of enthusiasm. The tool in hand is a Roughing gouge.

Aaaah, shame but if you've lost enthusiasm there's not a great deal of point. I have a turned fruit bowl, complete with two apples and two pears all made by a friend from different woods, gorgeous and still very tactile after 20-odd years - which is good cos it's good for the wood to be fondled LOL.

I'd also guess we could call you Malcolm?

Yes you certainly can
Malcolm
