Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hello all

I'm a recently diagnosed (Jan) type 2. Just had bloods taken this morning to check how things are going 3 months post diagnosis - Don't think I am doing too bad so far but guess results will tell next week.....

I did try to join a local diabetes support group as though it would be good to talk to others with diabetes. Unfortunately the group isn't running at the moment. Then I heard about you guys - so thought I'd join up!!

Welcome Ali, hope you find this forum as helpful as I have. Good luck with those results

Hi Ali, and welcome! Here's hoping that those results are good when they come through. This is a great community with people of all ages and backgrounds - but all wonderfully friendly and supportive. Glad to have you with us!🙂

Just looking at your footer "Where there is sugar, there are bound to be ants" made me think that there was a challenge for one of Northerner's odes!

And the award goes too......!

Hello all

"where there is sugar, there is ants"!

This is definately my fave signature line I have seen here!

Welcome BTW! I hope you enjoy the community here. I wish I had this when I was diagnosed, but I cant tell you its never too late to get the info and feel one of a group of people with which there are many things in common.

Damn you too....now I am trying to think of a better signature for myself and this will no doubt keep me up all night!:D:D:D

Dear Ali_P,
Welcome,

This is a great forum for everyone with Diabetes, I have learned a great deal and I have been diabetic for 15 years.

Regards Dodger

Thanks for all your 'welcome' messages - nice to know there are so many of you out there! 🙂
