Thanks for the welcome guys. A wee bit more about my diabetes journey. As I said, I've been type 2 since late 90's. I was getting along not too bad on tablets but was diagnosed with breast cancer two years back. Had successful surgery, then chemo (had very bad reaction) they changed the drug and then I had a massive GI bleed so off that drug too. During this time I was given Humulin I and muddled on with that until recently. Unfortunately the doctors surgery where I live is notoriously appalling so didn't get much help. I was then referred to a specialist diabetic nurse (separate from GP) and, as this was just 2 months back, I'm still in the process of figuring out with my nurse what I need. I look forward to finding out more and contributing when I can.

Welcome @Coo. Sounds like you've had quite a journey. As a recently diagnosed T2 I've been getting a lot of help and support from this forum. Certainly more than what the GP and hospital has been able to provide. So great that you have joined and hope you find everything you need for the future.

Hi @Coo and a very warm welcome from me too 🙂. Glad you decided to join the Forum as I’m sure you’ll get lots of support from our friendly members . Just ask way …
