That's interesting, I was about to say the same. I put ordinary porage oats to soak overnight in 50/50 water/semi-skimmed milk with a pinch of salt and about 15g sultanas. Five minutes in the microwave with a stir half way through - all done! 🙂
I don’t soak mine overnight, have actually just run out of oats so not had them the last few days but I usually do 2 mins whilst packing my bag, stir and put back in for a minute or two whilst I make a coffee, then eat. I do milk and a pinch of salt.
 
My reason is that it promotes the idea that it is just sugar that causes problems for people with Diabetes.

We are all allowed a rant now and then.

Of course… strictly speaking it should really be Plasma Glucose* (or alternatively Sensor Glucose) 😉:D

* I remember when fingerstick strips changed from being blood calibrated to being plasma calibrated. All the values changed (upwards) from the same sample. It was in the early 90s.
