Hi All,
I have just joined the forum but have been reading the site for 3 months.,
Was diagnosed with Type 2 in November 2017. I had a HBA1C score of 118 but have managed to get this down to 47 in just under 3 months. In this period I have managed to loss about a stone and a half in weight, and reduce my cholesterol from 5.4 to 4.3.
I have done this through a low carbohydrate, low sugar, high fat and high protein diet. Monitoring is important and so I have been using testing strips on a morning and evening plus two hours after a meal. I have also been put on to two metformin pills per day.
I have also done the parkrun, loads swimming and loads of walking in the last 3 months.
Just wanted to thank you to the forum for all the advice and help. And really pleased that I have made such progress. Thanks Eugh.
