sorry but have hit rock bottom bs does not go below 20 this morning it was 28.4 l know with this virus it will be hi but have given up,am now on 98 units of insulin a day i dont know where im going wrong Any ideas i have even started keeping a food diary just to see if that helps I know last time i was on insulin i ended up on approx 90-100 units twice a day but cant go back to twice a day due to the set up of how my insulin is delivered all my own fault I have an appointment this week with consultant hoping to get some answers/ideas then right now i feel like giving up and just stuffing any kind of c**p into my face yesterday i actually cried that's how much its upsetting me

Oh Gail you poor thing .... Please don't give up on your D. I know it's hard but you'll actually be doing more damage to yourself if you give up now. Can you call or email your DSN to try to get things down a bit before your appointment ?

It's not easy but try to get some advice sooner rather than later - don't be shy about asking for help when you need it . Good luck 🙂

Aw Gail, I am so sorry to hear this :( How many carbs are you eating according to your food diary? If you can reduce them at all then that should reduce your insulin requirements or blood sugars - hopefully both. I can't remember, have you tried Victoza or Byetta as well as the insulin? What insulin are you currently using? It must be terribly frustrating for you and I know the high BGs won't be helping how you feel, but please do try and stick with things. I hope that your consultant is able to come up with some good treatment options for you at your appointment - let us know how things go.

Awe Gail, its so difficult when things are going wrong. Mine is a mess at no as well. But keep with it, see what your team say. Fingers crossed you find a suitable solution xxx
