Wake up prick finger and inject, lunch time prick finger and inject, dinner prick finger and inject, bedtime prick finger, sorry just a moan we are all in the same boat, i need to get over myself, bit down about it, anyway have a great day guys

It can be a bit of a chore at times, but I always remind myself that at least it is manageable, unlike many other chronic conditions, and 100 years ago there would have been no finger pricking or injecting to save me as there was no insulin available 😱

Try and look on the bright side Simon! 🙂

It just becomes part of the daily routine. 🙄 Do you ever think, Oh no, I've got to clean my teeth/wash my hands/put the kettle on again, this is such a chore?:D

I follow Techmoan youtube channels because I like its weird retro tech video reviews. Yesterday I change the belts of a 1990's Aiwa boom box tape(*). And i found that he has T1 diabetes.

I use it to record myself when I practice keyboards. Using a cassette tape with the clicky play, record fast forward and rewind is easy because I could operate it without looking. And of course the wow and flutter of cheap cassettes if you use it to record a combo organ like sound makes it more psychedelic and '60s 🙂

And speaking about daily routine, I am trying to put firmly in the practice of the piano...

Libre does not stop the need to finger prick before driving or adjusting Insulin does.

Is it worth investing in one, i mean does it really work if it does im lucky enough to afford it
I have not used one as it has to worn on the arm and I am quite clumsy,. I suggest if you are interested there are many threads on it do a forum search. Some seem to love them, a few have various problems with them.

I think that the consensus amongst members here is that they work very well most of the time, there have just been one or two people for whom they don't seem to work well at all, plus there are occasional faults with the sensors but they are usually replaced free of charge. Personally, I think it's worth trying a couple - a month's worth - to see how you go on, they can provide you with invaluable information that you might otherwise miss completely with just fingerpricks 🙂 They can be addictive though - hard to go back to stabbing fingers all the time and not having unlimited readings available with just a scan of the arm! 😱 🙂 I'm glad I tried them, I certainly learned quite a bit even though my control generally has always appeared very good 🙂
