Just today i rung up the surgery to get an appointment for my lad, once again i have to see the locum doctor happening to much lately and it really frustrates me i know i should be greatful and i am but i registered to be with my doctor but i see the locum more these days grr..

Rant over lol x

Does any of your docs have online appointment booking? Mine have recently started it and I used it for the first time for my last appointment. It is so frustration free compared to the phone at surgery being engaged 90% of the time and when you get through whatever date/time you suggest being unavailable. You can casually browse though what is available and take your pick.

What a pain Steffie, is it the norm at your Dr's or is it just cause it is the time of year. Must be so frustrating for you.

Hope you well Di x

I get this alot at my doctors, i have been at my surgery for over three years now, and only seen my doctor once.

I am always told that she doesnt have any appointments free.

Do you know the reason you can never seen your doctor?

🙂

From what I can gather she only works till 12 o clock and then does whatever she does, then the locum clocks on after lunch i guess..

Well Di not to sure its anything to do with time of year I have seen my own doc 3 times this year rest of time it has been the locum, she is a nice enough lady but she always needs to run through everything at every visit..

hope your son is okay steff

I wouldn't normally expect to see my registered GP if booking for an emergency appointment. There have been locum's at my surgeries that have become permenent partners.
I hope your son is ok
