Does anyone use juicers and if so do you have any recommendations. I don't know anything about the different models and I don't want a "bells and whistles" one, just one that will do a basic job. I wnat to create veggie drinks. I have a Kenwood liquidiser which came with my food processor but it's not powerful enough to blend frit and veg. Thank you.

Thanks. Seem to be lots of them around. I'll have a trawl through them.

Got rid of our juicer when diagnosed. Juicing reduces the fibre in fruit & veg & causes bigger spikes, unless of course you are planing on making kale smoothies.:D

I found that my newly bought Nutribullet caused larger spikes than eating the same foods as they were - it sits in the cupboard waiting for me to find some use for it - preparation of fruits for wine making perhaps.

Your answers have given me food for thought (pardon the pun) still not sure about a juicer.

That's a fantastic idea, @Drummer!🙂

What Mark says is quite correct. Juicers are one of those gadgets that look great but after a very short while, sit on the shelf unused.
I got rid of mine a long time ago. If you want to process Kale and the like to make smoothies then a high quality blender is the thing to go for.
The Nutribullet blenders are very good (although I got the Salter one which is more powerfull and cheaper than the Nutibullet) and mainly gets used for Angel Delight (much nicer than whisking by hand, even the chocolate is smooth).
