Jardiance

I read the online patient information leaflet and it says that Jardiance works by releasing glucose via the kidneys into the urine. This means that testing the urine for glucose (normally a bad sign) will yield a positive result.

There are the usual gamut of side effects but a common one will be that you may pee more.

Anyway, I recommend that you read through the patient information leaflet yourself if you can. But hopefully someone else who's already been on it can provide some info too.

Andy 🙂

Hi I'm on it too. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids as the glucose is out flushed through the kidneys, so it can make you prone to kidney infections. I haven't found I've needed to pee more, even though I'm drinking more. I've not experienced any side effects and have only had one kidney infection since being on it.
