Hi,

Phone the Surgery and cancel your appointment. Do tell them that you have been feeling down and have been given an opportunity to get away from it all for a week and you know that you will benefit from this break. I am sure you will enjoy your trip with hubby.
What is the worst thing that can happen? She might moan but she does that anyway doesn't she so no change there. Do what you want to do as opposed what you feel other people want you to do. Get out on the open road with hubby and forget everything. You may come back in a better frame of mind and feel able to stand up for yourself when confronted with this rather nasty individual.

thank you for that lovely comment 🙂
yeah your right she will moan anyway and i do think getting away from it all will make me feel stronger when i come back. plus it would be great to spend a whole week with my hubby all on my own even if he does have to work it will still be fun.

Or make an appointment with the gp and ask for help with your feelings of paranoia. Say you feel people have been talking about you, for example, it can't be true but it feels like the doctor, the nurse and the receptionist are ganging up on you and you feel badly treated but that can't be right, can it? Ask if diabetes causes paranoia and/or depression as things are really getting you down. You feel trapped as you can't move, what can the doc do to help you? :D:D:D

If ever I get to see my gp on time, I am shocked!! She is brilliant and never hurries people out so I go prepared with a book or a paper but 5 minutes late for an appointment is hardly a hanging offence, particularly for someone with asthma! How do they know you hadn't had to stop and catch your breath, use your inhaler on the way there?

Something I thought about and now Marg pricks my memory, theres times in the past when I have had to wait an hour yes a solid hour waiting around tapping my toes waiting for my name to be called to see my GP,maybe next time it happens i will go in there start giving her the third degree as to why i had to wait, yes of course you have sick patcients and sometimes appointments overrun, but my point is things can happen that make you late seeing me but if i dare to be late by more then 5 minutes im given filthy looks and bad attitude by the staff 🙄

Most of us have better things to do with our day then spend it in a doctors surgery x

Anyway I digress my rant is over, Tracey i hope you do go away with hubby mate you deserve it big time

a very good point marg about the inhaler, i wish i had thought of that at the time, not that she would probley have been interested but id loved to have heard what she said. anyway they must have been disgussing me among themselves since then because the appointments are all coming in now, ive now got all my bloods being taken next wednesday, my podiatry appointment next friday and i just had my eye screening done today. one of the nurses walked past me today while i was there and actuly spoke to me nicely. i know it dosent excuse how they acted with me but if i can just get all my tests etc done then at least i know im ok. 🙂 but i certantly wont let them put me down anymore, i will be speaking up for myself from now on, its my health that matters at the end of the day.

i totaly agree with what you said steff 🙂
well as you can probley tell i didnt get to go out with hubby this week :(. i had my eye screening test today and my pyhsio tomorrow, and like i was saying to marg all my other appointments coming at once so i gues i wont get away net week either but at least if i get all my tests out of the way it leaves me maybe that i can go the following week, then i can go away without worrying that im missing appointments.
