At least I think it is. Bedtime last night my BG was 8.2, this morning; 9.2. SINGLE FIGURES! Mind you I sailed up to 13.4 after lunch but I think that was cos the bread for my sandwich wasn't 'brown' enough. I'm back down in the 8s now. Is this it, have I cracked it at last? Can I get excited now?

Terrific Ally! Looks like a bit of a breakthrough to me, and bear in mind that the rise to 13 after lunch wasn't a huge spike, starting at 9 🙂 I think things will get better from now on, I sincerely hope so anyway! 🙂

Its good to hear you sounding positive. I hope that your success with the insulin continues. Is your DSN keeping an eye on you ?

Yes, I'm due to talk to her again tomorrow.

Fantastic! Fingers crossed those single figure results keep on coming (and lowering) ((...but not too far!))

Alison thats great pleased to hear your getting some results x

Great news Alison - you deserve a bit of luck after all the horrible things you've been through ! Long may it last ! :D

It's definitely working. I've been in single figures all day with a low so far of 7.6. Still room for improvement, but what a difference in my outlook and attitude. I was so close to giving up because I felt so let down, I couldn't see why I should bother trying when the meds just made things worse. I woke up this morning smiling and feeling really positive. For the first time in 2.5 years the Diabetes is not controlling me, I'm in charge now and I'm determined to keep it that way.

I'm ashamed to admit that there have been times since I joined the forum when I've been so jealous of those of you who have decent control that I could scream, I began to think I'd never even get this close to the target. I just couldn't understand how you managed it and felt such a failure because I couldn't do it too. I'm trying not to count my chickens, but it really does look as if this is my answer. So for all of you out there struggling as I am, don't despair and don't be too hard on yourselves, keep battling.

Woo hoooooooooo!

So pleased for you Alison. You deserve those levels after all your patient persistence.

I am sooooooo pleased to hear this Ally! :D I wish they had tried it sooner, so perhaps you wouldn't have had such a struggle. I hope that things continue to improve for you! 🙂

Alison this is fantastic news I am so very, very, very pleased for you:D
