itchyness

I was told it can be because raised bg can cause more yeast and fungal infections (which is why thrush can be a common symptom). One of my symptoms was itching (not thrush though and without any rash) which went once I got my bg under control and returns when it is not! So yes. it can be according to my GP. Itching has many other causes though, depending on where it is and if it produces rashes etc. Hope this helps. Katie

Diabetes can cause problems with dry skin as well, which in turn can cause itching. You might try using a liquid soap and a heavy duty moisturiser to see if it helps (hard soap can be very drying). Or ask your doctor for something like Diprobase.

I am FOREVER itching all over! Arms, legs, back, neck, ears, hands, feet! Does my nut in. Doesn't seem to matter if sugars are high low or somewhere in between. I do have super dry skin though that no amount of moisturising seems to help!
