My daughter was diagnosed type 2 in August and has been feeling much better in herself since going into metaformin. Her blood sugars were still very high over the three months.....was 84,now 72 so metaformin dose now doubled to a max dose. Unfortunately since then her skin has become unbearably itchy and very red and dry. She had itchy skin before her diagnosis but that eased on initial metaformin dose. Now her skin is worse than ever.....waking her up at night too. Any advice?

Thank you I will read these. She’s very uncomfortable and scratching her skin raw!
