So tonight walked 45 mins, then about 45 mins later had to drive 15 mins to pick up oh but hadn't had dinner. Felt really unwell during the drive, weak, nauseous, shaky.... But I'm type 2 so couldn't be a hypo as I tested when I got home and was 7,4,which 4 weeks since dx is a pretty normal reading, had dinner and felt ok.
Before diagnosis I had spells like this so it's not a reaction to the metformin... Can anyone explain ?

It's possible for non-diabetics to experience low blood sugars, although very rarely will they become dangerously low. A friend of mine regularly experiences similar symptoms when she becomes too busy doing things and forgets to eat - she's not a diabetic.

Very difficult to say what it might have been - when feeling like this then you almost immediately think it must be the blood sugar, but I have felt like this too when my levels have been normal - again usually when I haven't eaten for some time. I would mention it to your GP to see if they can offer an explanation.

Will do, I had gammon, broccoli and peas, felt full didn't eat anything else then about an hour later felt incredibly sleepy ( bloods gone up less than two) so wasn't sure what to eat, settled for two small slices of sourdough seeded bread, now not sleepy anymore.... Wierd

i get it when hungrey ...or thirsty ...last time tested bs it was 5.9 ....i think its to do with getting used to the different feelings ....
