Sometimes you must accept it

Diabetes give a hit

On a head affecting level

Your bulb feels .... not so lit

The flame inside you flickers

Today feels .... not as great

Your balloon is not as airborn

You’ve popped and won’t inflate

There’s days that we’re reacting

There’s times we stand and fight

Accept diabetic compromise

Make sure, that you’re alright

It’s ok to not be ok

It can hit us all sometimes

Take care of your diabetes

Rest assured, you will be fine
