The image is too small for me to read and cant be expanded on my PC - how high in carbs is the konjac rice ?

It says less than 1g carb per serving? (It’s very blurry but that’s what it looks like). Why would it not be ok @Jacinta (Australian) ? Do you mean because of the konjac?

I use noodles made from Konjac all the time. It's low carb. I have just had some konjac egg fried rice.

Hello inka , not because of Konjac , was just wondering because I’m still widening my range on what’s safe and what not so I can still do a egg fried rice (low carb and what not ) . 🙂

Here in the UK we eat Konjac noodles and Konjac rice. and it is ideal for diabetics on a low carb diet. I have both in my cupboards but don't eat them regularly. You do have to rince them thoroughly before you cook them. No idea why @travellor says Konjac is banned in Australia. Hopefully he can explain. This product must surely be on sale there when you are asking about it, so either not banned or slipped through the legislation somehow. Interested to know more?
Konjac products are certainly not legislated against here.
For your informatiion, it isn't 1g of carbs but less than 1g.

Which part of the nutritional information made you worry it might not be okay? How can we help you to be able to decide whether a food is okay to try or not? The nutritional information at “less than 1g carb” is as low carb as foods get.

Sweets made from Konjac were banned in a number of countries (UK included) due to the choking risk.

Edit: tablets are banned in Australia, apparently.

Noodles are allowed, I think.

Hey Lucyr even though I’ve been on Low carb for a while , I get told by people oh you can’t eat that even though I know it’s low carb . Just sometimes I don’t think to be honest and overthink myself if I eat that will it spike my blood sugars and I don’t slow down enough to let my brain think it slowly .

am a massive konjak fan, it needs rinsing and drying before cooking but it's the best rice and pasta substitute in my view. x

Hi all, where is this stuff from? Never heard of it.

I order 'Emma Basic' Konjac noodles from Amazon, but prefer ones that Sainsbury's sell (Can't recall the brand name.)

ALDI currently have Konjac rice.
