It's barely an increase - change is effectively within limits of blood glucose meter accuracy.

Aerobic exercise is what generally decreases blood glucose / reduces insulin resistance, so it depends on the relative amounts of cardio and weights in your work out.

Insulin sensitivity is generally lower in mornings (or to put it another way, insulin resistance is generally higher in mornings), so that could also be part of the explanation.

Thanks Copepod weights not too heavy since this is the first time i have worked out for years only used 60kg for bench press 4 sets of 10, 20 kg dumbbells 3 sets of 10 incline press, 15 kg dumbbells 3 sets of 10 incline flies and 3 sets of 10 squats with 60kg, aerobic exercise was 15 mins of cross country machine and 15 mins of cycling.
weights very low to what i used to use 150 kg bench 250 kg deadlift and 210 kg squat will aim to get back to that next year to increase muscle size and make BG take up better

remember that people without diabetes get changes with their blood glucose levels, it's normal! Your liver will release glucose stores if you haven't got enough glucose in your body to cope with your bodies demands on it. Also a copepod said, meters have a (small) degree of inaccuracy, the chances are if you retested on a different finger at the same time you wold end up with a different result, same if you used a different brand of meter.

Don't worry about tiny differences, they are meaningless!

thanks Aofie, i was a little concerned at first but after testing 2 hours after lunch BG was at 5.2 hopefully will be able to get it down in the 4s and keep it there
