If there is. and it's not too late this year, I think Cerys Anne Blake should be nominated for bieng such a wonderful ambassador for diabetes. What does anyone else think?

I had to google her name to see who she was. I think that being instrumental in setting up the website the insulin gang is certainly worthy of merit.

The only award scheme I can think of is the Children of courage one.

From what I've heard she's done a lot more than that, although the forum is probably her most visible achievement. 🙂

Several years ago, I went to a Diabetes UK award ceremony in London where Nikki Wallis of Snowdonia was nominated, but didn't win, for her work in setting up MAD (Mountains for Active Diabetics). I think the award had HG Wells and / or RD Lawrence in its title, but I can't remember. The ceremony was held in a royal college of medicine / surgery (can't remember which one), but it was definitely on the east side of Regents Park, and the ceremony was held in the summer, as I remember getting train home to East Anglia through a later night thunder & lightning storm. I think the winner was a woman founder of Tadpoles group for children with Diabetes in a county in South East England.

I think all children with any conditon or illness are little stars so should all have a mention in dispatches :D

That link doesn't work for me, it just takes me to a playlist (on which the only item is a Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project video, probably because I was Googling for DN:MP information recently).

Maybe this shortened link (trimmed to the bare essentials) will work (I won't know if it does until I've submitted this post):

Perhaps this forum should have a [youtube] container added, allowing one to post YouTube links using nothing but the v= parameter from the full link? Two other forums I'm on have them...

Sorry about that Robert - more importantly is the link to Pop4diabetes any good?😱

BTW - the Cerys link I posted still works for me - perhaps it depends what 'device' we are using? Agree about the YouTube thingy you suggest.
