Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Im just starting my Type 2 journey and one of my downfalls is that I drink around 2 litres of Pepsi Zero a day.

Ive been thinking about a soda stream as its possibly a cost saving when purchasing the Pepsi zero flavour but might also get me back to drinking cordials, Though Im not a fan of plain tap water of fizzy water by itself.

Any thoughts..

Pepsi zero contains no carbs so is unlikely to be a problem for your diabetes. Cordials typically contain sugar so are not a great alternative.
However, I would be concerned by the amount of caffeine you are consuming each day.
Why are you drinking so much? I wonder if you are feeling thirsty due to untreated high blood sugars. If this is the case, lowering your levels could reduce the amount you drink and help you out.

Sorry, I have not answered your question about soda stream.

I was considering it but there were very limited flavours of zero carb additives but not only that the cartridges were quite expensive.
We have the flavoured sparkling water which is often in short supply, shortage of carbon dioxide I believe.

We had one for a while and would use it with normal squash not their flavours. Sugar free squash is zero carb so may give you a sugar free alternative to your Pepsi. If you think it might be a useful thing for you buy some bottles of fizzy water and the flavouring you would use and try it for a few days as an alternative to your Pepsi. If you like it then spend the money on the soda stream.
