Am I right in thinking that now I'm diabetic I could be hit harder than previously with flus/colds/temperautres etc? (don't get them very often thats all)

Just to add to our challenges, you are right AM - we are such special people with our in built sweetness that we can get hit harder/more prone to complications from infections. Other side of it is that infection also makes our diabetes more difficult to control too!

Had my flu injection yesterday - poor lass hit a blood vessel so I had to have a plaster too. More blood tests tomorrow and got my invite for my annual review today - feel a bit like I should just move into the GP's surgery!

Aaaaah flip. Looks like I've missed my seasonal flu jab. Looking at my GP's website (I'm totally peeved at them atm, but that's another story 😡), it turns out 'we are not sending out letters this year, but are holding drop-in clinics for those who are eligible for a free jab'. Well, how the HECK was I supposed to know that?! Turns out the last one was last Saturday
